  The demands of composites in global aerospace industry got increased over the past three years remarkably, which attributes to the production of new and current large commercial aircraft and the increase of some aircraft models in civil helicopter and business jet market. 

  The whole commercial aircraft industry continuously uses advanced composites with a larger proportion in each new-generation aircraft. Although B787 is main driving force for growth in 2013, Indian Composite Insights predicts that A350 will become main driving force for the remarkable growth of the composites in the coming years. Regardless of financial situation, increase of air travel demands and rising of fuel price can guarantee the demands on newer, more efficient aircrafts. 

  Some new aircraft projects, such as Commercial Aircraft-C-919, Bombardier C Series, Mitsubishi MRJ21, Commercial Aircraft-ARJ21, Sukhoi Superjet-100, etc. are expected to make contribution to the increasing demands of the composites in the civil aviation. The increase of civil helicopters in recent years is expected to remain same trend and to drive the demands of the composites. 

  Some market segments of the aerospace industry have undergone cyclical downturns at various degrees. The market competitiveness of the composites in the aerospace industry is very drastic, and the companies which focus on special small- and micro- market and featured products in the market can obtain competitive advantages. According to various materials and small- and micro- market, related competitive factors include product certification, technology, product performance, date of delivery, service and price. Although the growth rate of the composites between various aviation sectors is different, overall demand of the composites is expected to stably increase to USD 4.7 billion in 2019. 

  Checked cloth reinforced composite has been a preferred material in the aerospace sector. However, the application mode will be changed, and application proportion of uniaxial and multiaxial fabrics in the composites is expected to increase and exceed that in the checked cloth.
